Top Ten Questions Lost Must Answer Before The End!

So I saw a ton of people talking smack about last night’s Lost episode. So I was really curious and picked that on my DVR first when I went to bed. I have to say I’m really lost as to what people where so pissed about. They told an interesting part of the backstory, had a great quote that referenced the entire shows life (“Every question I answer will simply lead to another question”), and answered several questions. The only problem is that they created as many new questions as they answered! Now I know that as a Lost viewer I should be used to that by now, but I thought that these final episodes were going to answer all of our questions? They better start answering questions at a rapid pace or they might as well just end it with everyone sitting in a diner listening to classic hits by the band Journey.

So I thought I would make a list of the top ten questions I would want answered before they end the show. I’m sure I will miss a ton, so please feel free to post them in the comments.

  1. What was in the glowing cave (Sometimes refereed to as “the Tunnel Of Light”)?
  2. What made Jacob’s brother into a black smoke monster?
  3. . How did “Mother” get on the island in Across The Sea?
  4. How does the island time travel?
  5. How does the island move so others can’t find it?
  6. Why did Darpa choose the island and how did they find it in the first place if it is so hard to find?
  7. Why did Claire Littleton separate from the group in the first place and what made her go nuts?
  8. Why can’t women have babies without dying and how did Jacob’s mother Claudia have Jacob, but had to be killed by “Mother”?
  9. . Why are some lead to believe the island is hell?
  10. How was Jacob able to leave the island and interact with the survivors? Did he actually leave the island or did he just make those people think they saw him?

Now many of these questions can be explained by saying that the light from the glowing cave is the center of the island and it can do anything and everything. If that is their explanation they need to be shot in the head for wasting all of our time.

Now I really am hesitant about posting this top ten list. I know how rabid some Lost fans are and I will probably get ripped to shreds for posting it. For those people I offer this advice, I am used to doing reviews for Metal releases. There is no collection more pissy about reviews than Metalheads. No group of drama queens are more vicious in their petty attacks. So say what you will, but if you play nice so will I. If you come out swinging so will I.

That being said, I welcome you to nicely point out any of these questions that have already been answered. Lost is one of those shows that is so high on the WTF levels that they can answer a question and you don’t even notice it. So feel free to spoil away. The top of this post says “Major Spoiler Alert” in huge letters for a reason. Debate away and post the questions you think I missed. I’m sure there are tons.
